Holy Goof?

While reading "On the Road" by Jack Karouac, I was struck by a description of Dean Moriarty -

"It never occurs to you that life is serious and there are people trying to make something decent out of it instead of just goofing off all the time.  That's what Dean was, the HOLY GOOF."

I liked the name/phrase Holy Goof.  It seemed to me like the pair of words created a nice contrast.  Something  between something sacred and lovable, but also bumbling and mistake prone.  I'm not sure if it describes me, or this place, or both.  It's just something that felt like it fit.
